Shaw lost to Russell County  last Tuesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Shaw Raiders had just enough and edged the Russell County Warriors out  53-51.

 Shaw's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Russell County, they dropped their record down to 2-1 with the  loss, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Coincidentally,  both  will both be playing Smiths Station the next time they take the court. Shaw will head out to face Smiths Station at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday, while Russell County will head out to face them  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
