River Oaks waltzed into their match on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Prairie View Academy Spartans 56-22. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Prairie View Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Briley Lane almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards. Lane is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.

River Oaks has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Prairie View Academy, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. River Oaks will square off against Hillcrest Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prairie View Academy, they will take on Louisiana Math Science & Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
