Basketball Recap: Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy came into Tuesday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 57-49 win over the Morris Jeff Pelicans on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Swamp Owls, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy was led to victory by Antonio Castro and Dimitris Galiatsos. Castro almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards, while Galiatsos dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. What's more, Castro also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in January. Hovan Jasmine was another key player, putting up nine points and six rebounds.

Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Morris Jeff, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Fisher the next time they take the court. Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy will head out to face Fisher at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Morris Jeff will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
