Lee Roberts III made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Roberts III was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Evan Mclemore and Landyn Anderson did most of the damage at the plate: Mclemore scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Anderson scored two runs while going 1-for-1. The dominant performance gave Mclemore a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Ethan Norman, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Forrest County Agricultural always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Greene County came up short against George County on Saturday, falling 17-10. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now lost six in a row.
Greene County got a massive performance out of Cole Helton, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Green, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Forrest County Agricultural now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Greene County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
