With a playoff win on the line, Starkville rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They blew past the Germantown Mavericks 58-31. The Yellowjackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 22 points or more this season.

Germantown's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dallas Haralson, who posted ten points and seven boards. Charlie Gamberine was another key player, putting up nine points.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Starkville, bringing their record for this year to 24-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 23.8 points. As for Germantown, their loss dropped their record down to 17-14.

Starkville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 23-16 win against Biloxi on the 24th. Germantown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
