The Lindbergh Flyers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Parkway South Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Lindbergh knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Parkway South likes a good challenge.
Lindbergh pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Ladue Horton Watkins by a score of 60-57.
Meanwhile, Parkway South had to suffer through a rough 57-19 loss at the hands of McCluer North. While losing is never fun, Parkway South can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 319th, while McCluer North is ranked 113th).
Parkway South's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ryan Shanfeld, who scored four points, and Jacob Sidwell who scored two points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Parkway South struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Lindbergh's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Parkway South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
Lindbergh beat Parkway South 55-48 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lindbergh since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
