The Northwestern Bulls can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat North Miami Beach 49-15 at home. Given Northwestern's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Chargers are ranked 313th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Northwestern got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jermiah Eleby out in front who scored 16 points along with six assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Eleby has scored all season. Sophonie Felix was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds.
Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Yoshaney Cayaso, who scored four points along with seven rebounds.
Northwestern has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for North Miami Beach, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.
Northwestern will face off against the at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Miami Beach's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Chiefs at 4:00 p.m. on February 5th. Carol City and the Chargers are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
