Jesuit is 8-1-1 in play against Cosumnes Oaks since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. Jesuit will head out on the road to challenge Cosumnes Oaks at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Jesuit has six straight victories, Cosumnes Oaks has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Jesuit sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Franklin. That's two games straight that Jesuit has won by exactly a single goal.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Aiden Sandmeier and
Lucas Kim, who scored.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Cosumnes Oaks had to settle for a 2-1 loss against Davis Sr. on Friday.
Jesuit pushed their record up to 14-0-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-3 record this season.
Jesuit was able to grind out a solid win over Cosumnes Oaks in their previous matchup on January 3rd, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jesuit since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
