Softball Recap: Niles Wins Going Away Against Plainwell

Niles got themselves on the board against Plainwell on Tuesday, but Plainwell never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 10-0 victory. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Niles and bumps their season record up to 5-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Plainwell, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Niles will head out to face off against Lakeshore at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Plainwell, they will venture away from home to challenge Godwin Heights at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
