The Ripon Indians are taking a road trip to take on the East Union Lancers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Union took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Ripon, who comes in off a win.
Ripon was handed a seven-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Gregori, sneaking past 14-12. The high-scoring effort was just what the Indians needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Angelina Martinez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Martinez was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those five hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ripon let Izabelle Spurzem and Jackie Faria run wild. Spurzem went 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and one double, while Faria went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. That's the most hits Spurzem has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Spurzem, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, East Union might've scored the first runs on Tuesday, but it was Liberty who claimed the real prize. The Lancers came up short against the Lions, falling 10-4.
Savanna Lopez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Caliyah Lopez was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.
Ripon's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for East Union, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Ripon might still be hurting after the 8-2 defeat they got from East Union in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
