The Collinsville Kahoks will take on the Triad Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Collinsville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Collinsville needed a bit of extra time to put away Civic Memorial. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 8-5. The win was some much needed relief for the Kahoks as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Lucas Owen made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Owen was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. He also hit two doubles, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grant Darden, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Adam Bovinett, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Triad got themselves on the board against Mater Dei last Monday, but Mater Dei never followed suit. They blew past Mater Dei 10-0. The result was nothing new for Triad, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Triad pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Collinsville, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
