El Segundo couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost to Peninsula by a decisive 22-41 margin.
North had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Fountain Valley last Thursday as they made off with a 36-13 win.
North's victory lifted them to 1-0 while El Segundo's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if North can add another positive mark to their record or if El Segundo can shake off the loss and take the spring out of North's step.
