After losing to the Stevensville Yellowjackets the last time they met, the Polson Pirates decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Polson enjoyed a cozy 47-32 win over Stevensville on Tuesday. That 47-32 margin sets a new team best for Polson this season.
Leading Polson to victory were Samantha Rensvold and Aleysia Black. Rensvold scored eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals, while Black scored 14 points. That's the first time this season that Rensvold pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mckenna Hanson, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Polson now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Stevensville, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Polson will head out on the road to face off against Beaverhead County at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Stevensville will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Bigfork on December 21st. Bigfork is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
