Bishop Amat have enjoyed a two-game homestead but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Rancho Cucamonga Cougars at 7:00 p.m. PST on Friday.
Bishop Amat's 9-4 record from last season is now going to be that much harder to reach after another tough outing. They fell just short of Santa Margarita by a score of 51-45.
Meanwhile, Rancho Cucamonga put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. It was a tight match that could have gone either way, but they made off with a 22-20 win over Valencia.
QB Jacob Chambers and WR Nehemiah Harrison were among the main playmakers for Rancho Cucamonga as the former threw for 86 yards and a touchdown, while the latter found the endzone twice on 122 receiving yards. Chambers also punched in a rushing score, his first of the season. RB Trey Wilson made another meaningful contribution, racking up an impressive 100 rushing yards.
Bishop Amat strolled past Rancho Cucamonga in their previous matchup back in September of 2018 by a score of 45-14. Will Bishop Amat repeat their success, or do Rancho Cucamonga have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
