They were the clear victors by an 18-4 margin over the Belleville West Maroons. The Blue Devils' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Drake Gibson made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI. He has become a key player for Quincy: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 12-17 otherwise.

Quincy moved to 15-18 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Belleville West, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 18-12.
