Plainedge had to start their season on the road  on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They suffered a  tough 7-1 loss at the hands of the Malvern Prep Friars.
 For Malvern Prep's part,  Ryan Capobianco looked comfortable as he  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits over four innings pitched.  Jon Morgan relieved him and did a solid job,   pitching three innings while giving up   no  earned run off   four  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks).
 At the plate,  Andrew Pellicciotta was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.  Mason Clark was another key contributor,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with a  triple and  an  RBI.
 The  victory for Malvern Prep keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
 Plainedge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Malvern Prep, they will take on New Rochelle at 9:30  a.m.  on Wednesday. Malvern Prep's pitching crew has only allowed 1.6  runs per game  this season, so New Rochelle's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
