Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trico). They claimed a resounding 59-25 win over Elverado/Zeigler-Royalton. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Pioneers have posted since December 4, 2023.

Despite the loss, Elverado/Zeigler-Royalton still got an impressive performance from Ashlyn Stayton, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. Stayton has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times she's played.

Trico picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Elverado/Zeigler-Royalton, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Trico wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 34-16 victory against New Athens on the 10th. As for Elverado/Zeigler-Royalton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-40 win against Joppa-Maple Grove on the 12th.
