The Bishop Moore Hornets will challenge the Harmony Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
On Tuesday, Bishop Moore made easy work of Lake Highland Prep and carried off a 15-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Highlanders: they've now won three in a row.

Ariana Lara and Carolina Rusnik did most of the damage at the plate: Lara scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Rusnik scored a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave Rusnik a new career-high. Stella Willy was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Harmony, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They never let Taylor get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Saturday. The Longhorns might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by seven runs or more this season.
Lindsay Green made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and five RBI.
In other batting news, Harmony got a massive performance out of Jade Allen, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Emerson Aslan, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Harmony was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Harmony pushed their record up to 7-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Moore, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bishop Moore hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .401. However, it's not like Harmony struggles in that department as they've averaged .317. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bishop Moore skirted past Harmony 3-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Longhorns turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
