The Arlington Admirals are taking a road trip to take on the Mamaroneck Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Arlington had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Yorktown on Saturday. The Admirals blew past the Huskers 11-3. That looming 11-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Admirals yet this season.
Ailish Hillier looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Emma Suozzo and Sam Harris did most of the damage at the plate: Suozzo went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Harris went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Harris a new career-high. Courtney Hillier also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Arlington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.
Mamaroneck let Rye stack five runs on them in the first inning on Saturday but luckily Mamaroneck prevailed anyway. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Garnets. The win was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Clara Barnes made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off seven hits. Barnes was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Laura Cordova, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Kaitlin Tranquillo was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles.
The victory got Arlington back to even at 6-6. As for Mamaroneck, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Arlington's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's matchup. The Admirals have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Mamaroneck, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Arlington continue to outrun the ball?
Arlington was able to grind out a solid win over Mamaroneck in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, winning 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Admirals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
