Chase Gieszler Turns in Season-Best Effort
Chase Gieszler produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Verrado to the win on Friday. Gieszler threw for 286 yards and four touchdowns on perfect 9-for-9 passing, and also rushed for 49 yards and a touchdown.
The win (which was Verrado's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Gieszler and Verrado are on the road again on Thursday to play Marcos de Niza at 7:00 p.m.

Jack Isidore Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Another Verrado player making an appearance on this list is Jack Isidore. He rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also picked up 43 receiving yards and a touchdown. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (100.4). He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 65 yards.

The contest was his 15th straight with six or more total tackles dating back to last season.
Levin and Canyon View will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Millennium at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th. The Jaguars had to take a loss when they last met the Tigers, but Levin had little to do with the loss: he made 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defended a pass. A Season-Best Effort from David Cabrera Leads Desert Edge over Millennium
Desert Edge was led to victory by David Cabrera, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Cabrera picked up 188 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He is becoming a predictor of Desert Edge's success: when he posts at least 100 receiving yards the team is 2-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
