Another Game with at Least Six Total Tackles from Gavin Levin
Sadly, Gavin Levin posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Canyon View over Cactus on Friday. Levin wasn't messing around, picking up three sacks, forcing two fumbles, and making ten total tackles (4.0 for loss). The contest was his 15th straight with six or more total tackles dating back to last season.
Levin and Canyon View will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Millennium at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th. The Jaguars had to take a loss when they last met the Tigers, but Levin had little to do with the loss: he made 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defended a pass. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

A Season-Best Effort from David Cabrera Leads Desert Edge over Millennium
Desert Edge was led to victory by David Cabrera, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Cabrera picked up 188 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The win got Desert Edge back to even at 3-3. Cabrera and Desert Edge will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Sunrise Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.
