Prairiland has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Commerce Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Prairiland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 728th, while Commerce is ranked 174th).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 94-19, which was the final score in Prairiland's tilt against Rains on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Prairiland has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Commerce waltzed into their game Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They took down Edgewood 62-46.
Prairiland's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 10-7. As for Commerce, their win bumped their record up to 17-2.
Prairiland might still be hurting after the 62-41 loss they got from Commerce when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can Prairiland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
