Carl Junction's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cooper Vediz, who scored 12 points. The contest was Vediz's third in a row with at least ten points. Brody Pant was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Howell's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game.
