The Parker Thundering Herd entered their tilt with the Huffman Vikings with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Parker snuck past Huffman with a 72-66 victory on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Parker found their leader in underclassman Jaydon White, who scored 29 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which White has scored at least 25% of Parker's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mykell Echols, who scored 17 points.
Parker has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Huffman, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
Parker and Ramsay will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Ramsay knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Parker likes a good challenge. As for Huffman, they will be playing at home against Gardendale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Gardendale is ranked 87th, while Huffman is ranked 92nd).
