The South Rowan Raiders pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 72-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Stanly. South Rowan has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, South Rowan still got an impressive performance from Dalton Young, who scored 27 points. Young scored a full 45.8% of South Rowan's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Zion Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
South Rowan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for South Stanly, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Rowan will take on Northwest Cabarrus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Stanly, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against West Stanly at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in West Stanly's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
