There's no place like home for Crest, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They put the hurt on the Uniontown Eagles with a sharp 12-3 victory on Monday. Considering the Lancers have won 16 contests by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Kade Nilges and Jensen Barker made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Nilges tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Barker pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. At bat, Nilges went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Barker got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
