The biggest upset of the week belonged to Puyallup, who took down 153rd ranked Bethel, 44-30. Brendan Illies threw for 242 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 12 yards in the win.
Federal Way extended the longest winning streak in 4A SPSL - South this week by beating Auburn, 43-0. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
The Vikings' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Trevor Whitney chipped in 86 yards. Levi Jordan helped Puyallup's passing attack out by catching six balls for 70 yards.
Riley Andal was the best wideout in the league this week as Puyallup defeated the Braves. Andal racked up four receptions for 81 yards.
Puyallup's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Vikings feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Illies has thrown for 2294 yards and 24 touchdowns this season, while Jordan has 44 catches for 681 yards. Whitney leads the league in rushing with 542 yards.
A big matchup in 4A SPSL - South this week will be when Curtis takes on Federal Way. At the moment, the Vikings are in third, while John Meagher's team is in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Curtis takes on the Eagles. Clay Angle's team has allowed 97 points this season, while Federal Way has given up 112. The Vikings allowed 33 points last week as they beat Rogers.
Gary Jeffers' team moved up to 138 from 165 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Vikings climbed the ranks as a result of topping Bethel 44-30.
