Scottsdale Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Pima Roughriders 33-6. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won eight contests in a row dating back to last season.
Scottsdale Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Everett Salazar, who rushed for 56 yards and three touchdowns. Salazar also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack, making two total tackles, and defending one pass. Dom Dickerson was another key receiver, gaining 121 total yards and a touchdown.
Scottsdale Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Sully Reader and Joseph Kassisieh. Another thorn in Pima's side was Martin Perez, who made 12 total tackles (1.5 for loss).
