On Thursday, Thomasville came up short against Brookwood and fell 45-36. While losing is never fun, Thomasville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while Brookwood is ranked 127th).
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kennedy Hayes, who scored nine points along with nine steals. Hayes hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ma'khia Banks, who scored six points.
Thomasville's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Brookwood, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thomasville won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th.
