It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Crawford County Wolfpack had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 43-36. Given Crawford County's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Vikings are ranked 204th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
North Posey lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Alyssa Heath, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Mallory Luigs was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Crawford County's victory bumped their record up to 18-6. As for North Posey, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.
Crawford County will face off against the Commodores at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Perry Central is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. North Posey does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
