The Summit Christian Academy Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They came out on top against TEACH by a score of 60-52. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Summit Christian Academy.
It was another big night for Ezra Crowder, who scored 24 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Summit Christian Academy's points. Cole Miller was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four steals.
Several TEACH players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nikolas Neuhofer , who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The contest was Neuhofer 's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Mozingo, who scored 13 points.
TEACH struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Summit Christian Academy posted ten assists.
Summit Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for TEACH, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Summit Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cristo Rey at 8:00 p.m. on December 5th. Cristo Rey presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Summit Christian Academy in Virginia (Cristo Rey is ranked 157th, while Summit Christian Academy is ranked 344th). TEACH will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Greenbrier Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Greenbrier Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
