Monday just wasn't the day for the Dekaney Wildcats's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of MacArthur on Monday. While losing is never fun, Dekaney can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 563rd, while MacArthur is ranked 228th).
Dekaney has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4-4 record this season. As for MacArthur, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-2-3.
Dekaney will be playing at home against Nimitz at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dekaney is facing Nimitz at the right time seeing as Nimitz is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for MacArthur, they will head out on the road to face off against Benjamin Davis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
