Stanton came into Saturday's matchup having lost 15 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They breezed by the Neligh-Oakdale Warriors to the tune of 73-11 on Saturday. The Mustangs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Stanton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Arens, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Arens a new career-high in rebounds. Jordan Claussen was another key player, going 6 for 9 on his way to 13 points.

Stanton was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Stanton's win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-7. As for Neligh-Oakdale, their loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

Stanton will square off against Wisner-Pilger at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Stanton is facing Wisner-Pilger at the right time seeing as Wisner-Pilger is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Neligh-Oakdale, they will take on Newman Grove/St. Edward at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
