The Heide Trask Titans came tearing into Friday's contest with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past East Bladen with points to spare, taking the game 72-55. Given Heide Trask's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while East Bladen is ranked 395th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Myron Mckoy was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with three steals. Mckoy is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Bradford Bannerman was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Heide Trask has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for East Bladen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.

As for East Bladen, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Whiteville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Whiteville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday.
