Manchester hasn't had much luck against Northfield recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Squires will head out on the road to face off against the Norsemen at 7:00 p.m. Manchester will be strutting in after a victory while Northfield will be coming in after a defeat.
On Thursday, Manchester got the win against Maconaquah by a conclusive 3-0. The Squires haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-16, 25-10.

Manchester can attribute much of their success to Sophie Cumberland, who had 31 assists and seven digs, and Myla Crozier, who had 13 digs and one assist. Cumberland is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Kaylin Johnson also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.
Manchester was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Maconaquah didn't served any.
Meanwhile, Northfield didn't have quite enough to beat Oak Hill on Monday and fell 3-2. The Norsemen haven't had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Northfield wouldn't go down easily and took Oak Hill into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking ten-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-11, 24-26, 25-10, 15-5.
Manchester will have to contain Bella Myers as she made an impact in Northfield's last game. She had 22 digs and one assist.
Manchester's record is now 20-5. As for Northfield, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Manchester has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.7 aces per game. However, it's not like Northfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Manchester couldn't quite get it done against Northfield when the teams last played last Saturday as they fell 2-0. Can the Squires avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
