The Richland Raiders lost against the Wayne County Wildcats back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Richland took a hard 62-43 fall against Wayne County.
Wayne County was led to victory by Cayman Camfield and Justice Bell. Camfield scored 16 points along with seven rebounds, while Bell scored 20 points along with six assists and five rebounds. The match was Camfield's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sayler Skelton, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Richland's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Wayne County, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
Richland will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fayetteville at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Wayne County will be home for the holidays to greet Rogers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
