Basketball Recap: Cook Inlet Academy Takes a Loss

Cook Inlet Academy lost against Ninilchik back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cook Inlet Academy Eagles fell to the Ninilchik Wolverines 51-47. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Cook Inlet Academy still got an impressive performance from Ian McGarry, who posted 32 points. McGarry has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last 19 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Armstrong, who earned six points.

Cook Inlet Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ninilchik, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Cook Inlet Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Birchwood Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ninilchik, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll take on Shaktoolik at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday.
