The North Hollywood Huskies's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Roosevelt Rough Riders at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
North Hollywood pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 71-55 fall against Verdugo Hills. While losing is never fun, North Hollywood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 883rd, while Verdugo Hills is ranked 420th).
Meanwhile, Roosevelt fought the good fight in their overtime match against Garfield on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 58-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. Roosevelt has not had much luck with Garfield recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
North Hollywood has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season. As for Roosevelt, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-11.
North Hollywood was taken down by Roosevelt 61-19 in their previous matchup back in January of 2020. Can North Hollywood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
