The Ponca Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Ponca can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 42-33 victory over Bloomfield.
Meanwhile, Elk Point-Jefferson had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.8 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. Everything went their way against Groton as Elk Point-Jefferson made off with a 44-23 victory. Elk Point-Jefferson has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season.
Ponca's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Elk Point-Jefferson, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.
Ponca didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Huskies in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 44-38 victory.
