Baseball Recap: Huntington Has No Trouble Against Newton

Huntington got themselves on the board against Newton on Monday, but Newton never followed suit. They blew past the Newton Eagles 14-0. The Red Devils haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Kullen Fountain was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alex McGilvra, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Huntington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Newton only posted an OBP of .167.

Huntington's record now sits at 9-1. As for Newton, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
