Several Severn Run players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jordyn Acree, who posted 18 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Acree's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ife Oyeneyin, who scored four points and 11 rebounds.
Southern found their leader in sophomore Huntyr Marks, who dropped a triple-double on 22 points, ten boards, and ten steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Marks has scored at least a third of Southern's points. La'Ren Watkins was another key player, putting up ten points.
Severn Run dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Southern, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.
