The Southeast Cyclones's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 71-40 loss at the hands of Niobrara County. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Southeast has suffered yet this season.
TJ Moats and Beaux Shimic certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Moats scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and eight blocks, while Shimic scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Shimic has scored all season.
Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Niobrara County, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Southeast will head out on the road to face off against Encampment at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Encampment is ranked 41st, while Southeast is ranked 40th). As for Niobrara County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pine Bluffs at 6:00 p.m.
