It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the West Broward Bobcats had no problem doing just that on Monday. Everything went their way against the Gladiators as they made off with a 46-24 victory. The victory was some much needed relief for West Broward as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.
West Broward's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lamaria Williams led the charge by scoring 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenelle Cruz, who scored 14 points.
West Broward's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Hialeah Gardens, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
West Broward will face off against Doral Academy at TBD on Wednesday. West Broward will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 435th, while Doral Academy is ranked 21st). Hialeah Gardens does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
