The Emporia Spartans won the last time they faced the Topeka Trojans, and things went their way on Friday too. Emporia came out on top against Topeka by a score of 58-49. The win made it back-to-back wins for Emporia.
River Peters continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nolan Jacob, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Emporia has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Topeka, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
