Los Altos is 5-0 against Fremont since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Los Altos Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Fremont Firebirds at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
After failing to score in their last contest, Los Altos made sure to put some goals up on the board against Santa Clara on Thursday. They never let the Bruins onto the board and left with a 5-0 win. Considering Los Altos' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
They hit Santa Clara with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Nikhil Morales (2),
James Taylor (2), and
Kapil Jakatdar.
Meanwhile, Fremont has not lost a match since January 16th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Gunn and snuck past 1-0.
The victory got Los Altos back to even at 7-7-3. As for Fremont, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6-3 record this season.
Los Altos was able to grind out a solid victory over Fremont when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Los Altos since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
