TRENTON, Ga. - After taking the lead in the fourth quarter,
Dade County (Trenton, Ga.) held on for a 13-3 victory over
Model (Rome, Ga.) on Saturday. The difference for the Wolverines was that
Aaron Shepard kicked a field goal.
The Wolverines led 3-0 at halftime, but the Blue Devils regained the lead on a field goal with 2:00 to go in the third. Dade County finally took the lead for the win when Shepard kicked a field goal with 11:00 left in the fourth quarter.
DC had given up an average of 15.9 points prior to the contest.
The Trenton school got revenge for last year's 41-21 loss to Model with the victory.
With the win the Wolverines extended their winning streak to four games.
