The Elk Grove Thundering Herd are taking a road trip to  face off against the Grant Pacers  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Elk Grove is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.7  points per game  this season.
Last Wednesday, Elk Grove came up short against Sheldon  and fell  69-61. The Thundering Herd haven't had much luck with the Huskies recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
 Despite their  defeat, Elk Grove saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  Danny Dennaoui, who  went 5-for-12  en route to 12  points and six  rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was  Jason Raga, who  went 5-for-9  to rack up 15 points and five  boards.
 Meanwhile, Grant entered their tilt with Cordova on Friday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Lancers with a sharp  61-38 win. Given the Pacers' advantage  in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings  (they are ranked 162nd, while the Lancers are ranked 939th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Grant's victory bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Elk Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 17-10.
 Elk Grove came up short against Grant in their previous matchup  back in February of 2022, falling  62-55. Can Elk Grove avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
