Leadership Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emmy Guldberg led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. The match was Guldberg's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Addy Guldberg, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
Leadership Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Carver, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.
Leadership Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against College Prep & Leadership Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. College Prep & Leadership Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Carver, they will head out on the road to face off against Oak Ridge Military Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Oak Ridge Military Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
