The Bedford Bisons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Greater Johnstown, falling 76-34. While losing is never fun, Bedford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 536th, while Greater Johnstown is ranked 36th).
Despite the loss, Bedford still got an impressive performance from Jacob Wilson, who scored 14 points along with two steals. AJ Koontz was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Bedford dropped their record down to 3-13 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Greater Johnstown, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bedford will take on Clearfield at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Greater Johnstown, they will head out on the road to take on Penn Cambria at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
