Meanwhile, Alleman earned a 7-3 victory over Peoria Notre Dame on Saturday.
Like Geneseo, Alleman also got a great game from a two-way player: Sydnee Ganahl. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off 11 hits. Ganahl was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Geneseo hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .324. However, it's not like Alleman struggles in that department as they've averaged .385. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Geneseo's way against Alleman when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Geneseo made off with a 22-2 win. Will Geneseo repeat their success, or does Alleman has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
