The San Simon Longhorns's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their tenth straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 39-19 walloping at the hands of Patagonia. San Simon has struggled against the Lobos recently, as their matchup on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Patagonia was led to victory by Alexis Fimbres and Brianna Majalca. Fimbres scored six points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Majalca scored 14 points along with two steals.
San Simon's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Patagonia, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Simon will face off against the Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Patagonia's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Roadrunners at 4:30 p.m. on January 24th. Phoenix Day School for the Deaf comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last 14 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
